Meeting with Parliamentarians in Liberia

A 'Save African Women from Pregnancy-Related Deaths' ("SAVE") rally was held in Liberia. Great successes were achieved. The "SAVE" Team met with Liberian leaders including the Speaker of the House of Representatives alongside other parliamentarians and government representatives During this occasion, the Speaker of the House assured the "SAVE" Team that the issue of maternal health will be giving priority and that, priority will be given to the training of nurses and increasing funding for maternal health facilities.
